BH, BF........ok I'm lost (imagine that)
« on: November 14, 2011, 12:13:00 PM »
Is it me or are the 59 Kodiaks somehow more desirable with the BH prefix to the serial number?  I read through the thread here......and now I have a headache.       :dunno:

Since no one of you Bear mongers would LOAN me one.......I had to go shopping.

Wanted a hunter, a shooter......so wasnt worried about serial numbers per se.

Better photos when it gets here.....If I have time between shooting sessions and hunting with it. Second photo is obviously an over exposure or adjusted somehow. Floor isnt even the same color.

Is there something I should look for on arrival particular to this prefix number (BF)? It gonna blow up in my face and make me lose my religion a few minutes?

Happy Birthday to MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. lol

A 59 for my 59th one to be exact.

Ok , fine......so Im a bit wound up over it. Sue me.

God Bless

Don't worry about the serial number.  You found a nice one with some nice rosewood in the riser.  Good weight as well.

Just enjoy it.  I'm sure you'll love the way it shoots!

Thanks, Hayslope. Since they are alien to me other than drooling over the ones I see HERE....I'm pickled tink, so to speak.

I changed the contrast on the second photo for a look. Still half looks like a different bow IMHO.

Guess Ill just have to wait and see it first hand.

Sorry my excitement got a jump on things.

The riser wood on the coin side is to die for! And it will have FG in the string grooves which makes it a lot more durable.

I got top two layers of grime off of her so far. A bit more to go. Poor photos but a question.

That's a purpleheart sight window? Unlike any purpleheart I've ever seen.

The light "stress" lines on the top part of the riser on the back are the only ones that showed up when scrubbing off the gunk and you cant feel those with a fingernail. Pretty tickled there wasnt more.

She is cleaning up pretty awesome IMHO. Thanks to those commenting!

God Bless
Steve

Slowbowke, it looks like you have a Bubinga wood sight window..much harder to find than the Rosewood window.

The wood grain near the coin looks like flames, very cool.
