Question #17 - Name a married bowhunting couple who have each in their own right, killed a big game animal that was the #1 animal for its species in the B&A killed records. You must name the hunters, and the animal that each took, and the year the animals were taken. Dig out those record books.

I don't see any years on either of the above posts...

Hello Wade,

I read your question from the post dated:
18-12-2011 12:03 PM

There you do not ask for the year in #17. I see your original question asked for the year. Oh well.

I did the same as Missaukee, didn't see where the year was asked for in the question.Guessded the Mauch's but had different game animals than the other two contestants.I said it was a guess! If it is the Mauch's that should be 1/2 point for JR.

#17 - Correct Answer

Tell us how you arrived at your correct answer...

I really thought that this one would be a pretty difficult one for anyone to answer correctly.

Missaukee: I won't tell Carol that you confused her with Judd Cooney...      :biglaugh:   On second thought, maybe I will tell her, she has a great sense of humor.

No points will be deducted from your score for that incorrect answer.

Sorry I left out the last part of the question when I copied it, as you mentioned, the answer was wrong anyway.

Wade, I figured it was Dick and Carol.  Located Dick's name in the record book on the moose, and I actually found Carol's name with the caribou on the internet. I've been beating what brains I have on trying to locate the unanswered questions, but so far I have come up with nothing.

OK Doc -

I'll think of an easy one for the handicapped section...

Question #18 - This is a hands on (no not that kind of hands on Doc)

Post a photograph of Fred Bear with a prototype Super Kodiak and tell us what makes it different than the production model that year.

#18 This Super Kodiak is much blockier, especially when viewed from the back side where the overlays really square off when they meet the limbs. I guess this may be a proto for the 67 Super K and is somewhat reminiscent of a 66 Kodiak in overall riser contours. Don
