Those Alcoa trees grow pretty straight-I have some arrows made of them.

Sorry Shell, haven't made ebony and bacote together yet(don't know why, it is georgous!) but this one has the rest of it. Ebony, bloodwood and yellowheart with maple limbs. I think the picture got streched a bit when it was re-sized. Looks a little lean.

Guru got rid of that bow cause it was made backwards.. heck the shelf is on the wrong side.

I said I wasn't going to post this yet, just started this past weekend.  The ebony lamination is just to contrast the symbol of this wood...Dustin Hartley Preditor Palace wood from Iraq.  I'm having trouble cause I know I can't do it the justice it deserves...Doc

I'm kind of a purist... don't care to mix woods much.  Also, being a longbow shooter, the riser does't give the opportunity for the beautiful curves that the heavy modern risers do.   Here's my favorite ebony riser... pure... well, except for the silver....
