I'm really looking for another 62 (ALWAYS!) in a good hunting weight.

This one is in great shape.  I take it along to the shoots for 3-D.  Sorry for the lousy photo - can't seem to get rid of the glare.

Love that Woolrich plaid....I live about 45 minutes from the old plant, and used to have the whole outfit.  Warm but really heavy.

They are great bows Tony.
What is your ideal draw weight in a 62 Kodiak?

Here's mine a week ago, doing what they all want to do.  Sorry about the strike plate.  It's what works for me.  I suppose I should at least cut it to make it look better.  This one is skinned with diamondback on the back of the bow.

50 - 55# is right in my sweet spot, with 52 to 54# being my ideal!  Everything I have is between 49 - 59#............EXCEPT for three 62 Kodiaks in the low 40s   ( :knothead:

Someone posted about "what is your dream bow?".  Mine would probably be getting my old 62 K back.......in the same condition I sold it in 1982!

I own nothing but vintage Bears and a handful of Dale Dyes anymore.  I shoot most of them quite well......but NONE have that "feel" or bring back my best hunting memories like the 62 K.  The wood TD grip might fit my hand the best of the old Bears.....the Dyes fit like gloves.....but none of them make me smile like when I'm shooting the 62!

I'll play along. Here's a 62 Grizzly hanging out.

And a 62 Kodiak Special

And a 62 K-Mag I sold I don't have very good pics. of it but it had some beautiful wood.

I also have a 62 Cub but don't have any pics. of it yet. It's 52@28 and in good shape minus one stress line on the belly.

Great pics. everyone. I hope to kill some rabbits or squirrels before season closes with the Grizzly. It shoots very well for 50 yrs. old.

Tony,
My favorite weight has always been 55#.
I draw 29" and all my bows fall into the 57-58# range which is where I like to be.
For now that is......

As I age, I would suspect I will drop down in draw weight.
The first bow in the picture is 52# if you notice.

I just got my 62 Grizzly off the truck today! It didn't have it's leather grip so I'm working on one, but looks mint in every other way. No stress lines and some sweet grained sight window zebra wood.
This bow came with what looks to be the original blue, green color rug that the catalog shows in 62, a six line strike plate and scary old string.
I'm going to trim on the new leather grip a little more tommarrow, add some color to the leather and glue it down on Sunday, I hope.
So I hope to have some good pic's soon, she's 45#.
Man I'm Excited I got this bow!!!

The flash on my camera hid the gold writing

WOW!!! you guys have some great bows!

RLA, CONGRATS.  I think you'll find that to be an exceptional shooter.

There is this guy here on TG that left this bow at my house.  I told him to come get it a week ago.  How long do I have to wait until it's legally mine?  I'd tell you who it is, but then you'd all know he's crazy for leaving this '62 just hanging around my place.

I didn't want to post a buddy's bow but when I saw your window I had to put it up right after.  They are very similar.  Very nice looking bows, and they shoot better than they look!
