I'm back with the leather grip on the '62 I didn't have a pattern (bow came off the bay without a leather grip) so it took me 4 tries to cut out the leather and be happy with the shape of it. This was my fist time putting a leather grip on a bow, so it's not perfect by any means, but I'm happy with it.
I first have to thank the Bowdoc, Don Ward for the time and effort he put in to the refinishing 101 thread, I pretty much followed the putting on a new leather grip info from start to completion.
I got this bow just a few days ago, finished the grip this AM and did some shooting. I love this bow!!! Well, this is where it gets good.
Today was the last day of our MO deer season. I wanted to get some woodsie pic's of the new bow with it's new grip, so I just took it (didn't think I'd see any deer anyway right?)
At about 5:15 this evening I made one of my best on game, shots ever with the new to me grizzly, WOW!!!
Did I already say this is my new favorite bow
I was shooting a blue 500gr. 1970 cedar tipped with a 2 blade razorhead.
Keep them '62 pic's comin
