Yup,
They are no good, way too soft even though they look like they should be great.
Goose feathers are way!!!!! tougher and water proof to boot.

They're also too small for fletching. Crow breast feathers work well for the legs on a stonefly I tie.

best check, but I think crows are considered migratory( something about an agreement with Mexico)and might not be legal to use their feathers.

Crows have legal seasons to be hunted so you can use their feathers but there is little point to it. They are very very poor fletching.
