Pearson Cougar age?
« on: January 28, 2012, 06:25:00 PM »
Hey guys,

I recently got an older Pearson to try my hand at a refinishing job to give to a buddy that wants to shoot/hunt with a stickbow.

Anyway, it has a serial number on it of 14481

Anyone familiar enough to tell me what year it was made, just so I can tell him he's REALLY goin' old school? Even if the year is the last 2 digits it would still  be older than him! LOL

Thanks!

The Pearson Cougar was made throughout the 60's and 70's and was one of Pearson's common and popular models. The serial number is not much help in dating the bow. The early ones from the sixties had rust colored glass and as the years went by the glass color changed. The 70's models had black glass and dark green glass. There were also dark brown glass and probably other variations throughout the years as well.
