Are there any out there?
« on: April 17, 2012, 12:13:00 AM »
Years ago I blundered onto a 60”, 60#, ’60 Kodiak.   Later, I heard there was another one somewhere(likely more than one!).  A few years later, I picked up a 56-56-56 Kodiak.  Sure, they’re kinda meaningless, a bit of a random occurrence with a large number of bows produced in a given year. According to the catalog specs, these are the only years it could happen, right?

The '64 Kodiak was only made in 60", and the '62 Grizzly was offered in 60# max. Similarly, all the '66 target models were offered in 66", but to a maximum of 50#.  The '69 HC-30 and Temujin were the same way.  I have a factory marked '69 HC-30 that is 55# and a '64 KS that is marked 60#, so special orders could fall outside catalog specs.  Of course, 66 and 69# target models are a ridiculous thought....

I'm just wondering if any of these bows exist.

Tom,
I remember that triple '56 Kodiak with the black leather grip. That used to be mine!! Strange to see a bow I got rid of many years ago surface again.

Yeah, John, I didn't remember where it came from.  My collection was basically in storage for 5 years and the notes I had on it are still filed away...unfortunately, not in my head!

I had 2 triple 60 kodiaks.
My brother has 1 and if memory serves I traded it to Steve Smith back in 1998 or 99.
The one my brother has is factory marked 60# @ 26". Way to heavy for me so we traded.
