Green stripe is stunning in person, no doubt about it!

Just received a 1970 A handle in a trade with a guy. He wanted a Widow and I wanted his handle that came with number 2 38# period correct limbs. I must say that we are both happy. The ugly is that somone tapped through the coin, and placed another small hole in handle for site. They also put a bushing in for what I am guessing was intended for quiver. This handle has the built in strike plate like the Mag handles have. Serial is: A 2113 Shown in one of the pictures is this bow on the Rack with my Stickbowman signed type 1 #1297
I like this handle because it's not perfect, and I do not worry at all about shooting it. Also was grouping very well right away. I do not remember the last time I picked up a bow and put two arrows so close that I heard them touch when second arrow hit the target. I moved for 3rd arrow for fear of destroying one or more of them from contact.

Boy that #5221 is making the rounds! I owned and sold in March 2012 to a guy in Jersey. He sold it not long after with case limbs and quiver.

Want to refresh this information from Frank Scott's notes for dating Type1-Type2

Frank Scott's ledger of Bear Serial Numbers shows the ending serial numbers for these two years...

1970
A-2141
B-2131
C-1860

1971
A-2277
B-2348
C-2262

1972 & 1973 Frank did not record serial numbers for any bows in this ledger

Looks like I'm going to play this game also. I have a "A" mag riser and a set of #2 limbs on the way. Thought about a Bear take down for a long time......now the time is here.

Good for you Ron!

Looks like I am bitten again.  I called Big Jim's for another T/D.  Couldn't resist his sales prices and free shipping.
