Good Morning. I was asked a very good question about Signature bows last nite. I will answer here on the forums in short for those who also may have this question. The question was..... "Bear handles have the serial # written clearly on it's side under the finish but it is not seen on Signature bows" except for Fred's signature and date. Great question. Aside from 0x1, early promotional photo's, there was another that hung in the museum as well with a serial# written on it's side. There must be other's. ALL signature bows have a stamping inside the UPPER socket along the rail with B-****. Without this special socket, it is NOT a complete Signature bow. My black socket Signature bow is a perfect example. Without it's Birth Certificate,"gold, serialized sockets" she does'nt exist. I call her #23 but that's only because her limbs are numbered that way. The handle is not. The limbs and case were given to me by Frank Scott. This "lunchbox special" actually belonged to him for many years before I acquired it.

It is by far my favorite of all my bows.

Fred Bear Sports Club members were also able to and some did, select their membership # for the serial # on them. Les Line had one with F.B.S.C. and Fred's signature 1982 written on it's side. Very cool. I regretfully had to pass on it when he offered to me. It is now safe in a friends collection. ..........Philip

Beautiful risers guys.

Nice case Redtail2

Greenstripe I picked up a month ago. Has the narrowest tips I've seen on greentip limbs. I believe this came from the factory that way because the riser and limbs were in the original box. The person I got this from said it was put away for a long time and hardly shot.

Zepnut, you are right, them are factory with those tips and Made in 1982,probably the first batch, since I have fondo 4 pair of them still wrapped in the original box and with the shipping or production date marked on the boxes.by the way them are the very best green tips you can ever shoot!

Here's my hunting bow.
I got it from Jim Rebuck from JM Traditions last year at Whittingham.
I named it the "signed maple sight window" green stripe.

That's all I have left to show.........For now.     ;)

Wow guys! A little envious here! I posted this in the Pow Wow also, but would like to add my pics to this collection as well! I'm just getting started with my Bear TD collection... just one for now. Here is my Red Stripe that I just finished putting some cottonmouth on.  I love how it turned out.  Next on my list is a B Mag Riser.  Keep the pics flowing... great stuff in here!!!

That is a fine Bear take down!
I absolutely love the red stripe B risers.
They are heavy in the hand compared to the Bubinga versions and adds great stability.
The fit and finish is also very good. Your limbs turned out very nice too. Congratulations.

Sorry Sam......no cure that I'm aware of!

And like most of the crazies on here, I'm not much help......other than to fuel the fire!!!!

This Type I "A" has been getting a lot of exercise at every shoot this year.  It will probably get to spend some time with me in a treestand this year.

This Type II "A" won't be getting any exercise this year.........or any other year for that matter......for obvious reasons..........

Good luck with your new addiction.  Based on your posts and hunting photos with one in your hand, I figure you'll just get used to it!
