date kodiak magnum?

A friend picked up a k mag serial no 23BJ7solid bubinga? riser grey glass gold coin at goodwill in Alton Ill..Age? thanks...Also the glass stops in the front of handle no overlays.....

Sounds like a 63 but a picture would help.

Also there is a type I,II,and type III in the 63 k mag.

Check with OldSchoolarcher I am not sure if the Type III kmags are safe to shoot.  Bear had issues with the 1963 kmags thus three types of bows in that year...

Type IIIs are fine it was the Type I and II that had the problems.
