I am refinishing another 66 Kodiak and am ready to put the Bear coin back in.I would like to brighten it up some.

Hi David
Is that an aluminum one?
I use a variety of polishes, Mothers etc whatever might be around or cheap...

A lot of people hit them with a black marker and only polish the high spots, kind of a cheater patina

Just make sure to clean any polish off the bottom before epoxying/hot gluing in place

1966 has the more modern brass coin; like Kurt says any polish or car wax will do you proud.   :archer2:

Is there a way to renew the color on the brass ones? I have one that has lost the color from wear.
I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!

I just used some baking soda from the fridge and a little water and the coin came out great. It took about 5-min.

Thanks for the ideas

I put them in Vineger, acid shines them up nicely.

Are the brass coins solid brass ?  Or are they plated & do you need to be concerned about easily rubbing thru the plating ?

The one I'm talking about is plated and the plating has rubbed off. I was looking for a way to repair the plating.

Those are plastic KSB
You can use Krylon spray paint for plastic.
