My 1950's Howard Hill longbow
« on: September 08, 2012, 01:26:00 PM »
Here's the H.Hill bow I picked up(I told you about in the other post) rigth befor the GLLI, It's a 1950's Hill bow, Been told by a few guys, It's one of Howard's. But Still am unsure.. It's all bamboo with green glass on the back, and yellow on the belly side.. Maple riser (unsure if it really maple looks like it) Has brown glass riser over lays down the fade outs... Norrow limb bow and nice form fitting riser...

To bad the tip was busted on that one Cody, It would be cool to beable to shoot it if it is made by Howard. Somebody sure did skinny it up though.
Thanks for letting me look at it at GLLI.

Yeah Cody!
Just quickly scanning through Mr. Burtons book, "Howard Hill Collectibles" I'm seeing the green glass and similar limb tips on some of the older made bows. It would be interesting to get his opinion on this. I'm with everybody else. Lets see some more pics of everything!!!!

Looks nice, good luck. The arrow shelf looks like some made in late 50's or early 60's. What is the weight, length and is there any writting, name etc. on the bow. How about some clear pictures of the sides, limbs and nocks.
