1959 Kodiak Brace Height
« on: December 27, 2012, 09:39:00 AM »
I just recently bought a 1959 Kodiak 60" recurve. For you guys that have this same bow...What brace height have you found to be quiet and accurate shooting?

Thanks,
Ron

Brace height varies greatly from person to person like most bows.
8" works for me and should be a good starting point.
Bring it it up or down til the sweet spot is found for you. You'll know it when found. Good luck.

I have my 60" 59 set at 8 1/2" and it seems to be a little smoother to draw. Like Phillip said everybody is different. Just my personal preference.

I tried 8 1/2" and it seems quiet and smooth to shoot. Will the bow be okay bracing it higher than what was recommended in the day 7-8"?
