Newbie needs help identifying a recurve

I'm new to the forum, and having trouble with posting pictures. I hope the link works. I spotted a "buy now" on ****, that had a recurve, two wrist caliper releases, and five carbon arrows, all labeled "archery set".It was only $75. The bow dosn't have a name on it, just 55# and a few numbers.It also has 55 under where the pad is missing in the window.Looks like original finish. Nice brown glass front and back, over two layers of maple. Tip overlays are coarse,stringy wood,like maybe osage.String is 56" and it pulls a little more than 55# on my scale.Maybe the brand name only matters to me because people might ask. The shape of the riser looks alot like an Indian Archery Deerslayer.

Go to the "computer" forum on this site and there are step by step directions on how to post pictures.

Indian Archery also made a Hawkeye model that had the same riser style.

I saw an add from the early 70's, with four models, and that Hawkeye had an accent stripe in the riser. I've also noticed some had a window pad in the shape of an indian head with a feather. The bow draws nice, without stacking. I'm anxious to shoot it, but it's below zero here, in Montana.

All the old Indian bows had the Indian head strikeplate, the early Hawkeye bows from the 60's did not nave the accent stripe. In any case your bow is more than likely an Indian Archery bow. And probably from the mid 1960's.
