My 89 year old grandmothers bow
« on: February 28, 2013, 11:18:00 AM »
I just received my 89 year old grandmothers vintage bow. My guess is that it is around late 40's early 50's. Can anyone help me identify this bow. Also I am new here. My family is into archery and I have just started again. Haven't done this since I was 15 but am loving it already. Thanks again for any help.

It's great to keep heirlooms in the family. I'd probably not shoot it but hang it on the wall for posterity since it's an old longbow and subject to failure.

YES It does have a curved tip!!  I am going to look that up.  I am not even going to string it as it wouldn't take that.  I plan to hang it right in my office!  Thanks so much

some tennis racquet handle wrap would get that grip back in shape or you can try a Hobby Lobby for some 1/2" wide leather lace.
