Bjorn, that looks like a nice one!  I wonder what reserve is set at...

Are you actually breaking your "'62 and earlier only" rule?     ;)

That's a good question Brad; just in this case, don't have any 'A' handles, and I have gotten a little soft in the head I guess.

They don't come much better than that.

I know the owner of that handle, and people are going to have to dig deep for it. His son offered him a very modest price already. We will see if it stays on the auction site.

He won't "sell" it to his own son?
Your Chicken from McDonald's, Tyson Foods, or Perdue Farms spent most of it's life stuffed in a cage with three or four others, occupying a space about the size of a book page...None for me, thanks...

The owner was asking questions about the worth of it on another site. I told him I would make him a fair offer if he would sent pictures, but he never did. He told me his son offered him $3500 for it.

I can only wish my son had that kind of money! LOL

I am sure it is a good bow; but I must say that when I asked the seller for the serial number his response was "1500 range". A bit off putting I'd say for a big ticket item.

Good point Bjorn.
The seller, one would think, should be very detailed in its description and the "serial # range" comment is bizarre. If I were a bidder, I would want to know the serial # and I would ask for better pics especially the sockets close up.
This bow should top off in the $1800 to $2200 range with the limbs and case. The limbs have a high serial #, I imagine red tips.
I have no comment about the $3500 offer from his son.......

Philip,
Who in their right mind would pay $3500.00 for a signed B-riser.That's insane!! This collecting stuff never ceases to amaze me.
I've dealt with the seller of that A-riser listed in the past and he's always been a pretty straight up guy,IMHO.

Yeah, I have dealt with him too buying and selling, frankly I was taken aback by the cagey response-but there are more fish in that ocean!

My A handle (in my avatar) is signed by Fred Bear with the Stickbowman figure and it is serial number A1111. Also happens to be signed by Glenn St. Charles. I dont think I would take $3500 for it because of the stickbowman sig, but $5000 would get it done.  :)

He ain't signing many these days and there isn't an over abundance of them around so I gotta think long haul it's a pretty safe investment.

Someone may decide this is a "safe investment", but I know my wife...and this would NOT be a safe investment for me!  :knothead:

Hey guys, the handle in question is NOT signed, that is why we are having fun with the supposed price.

I'll guess it will stop at 1900 or so if reserve is not met.

I do not know why anyone would pay more than 2000, the best A handle package took how long to sell on this site? And that one was I think 2000.
