I hope this got bowstring makers attention. My name is Jon Stewart from Michigan. Several archers in Michigan have begged for archery equipment and sent this donated equipment over to Iraq to a group of soldiers who shoot archery when they are not fighting. This group has formed an archery club called Camp Cuervo, Iraq, which I am lucky enough to be a member of by affiliation only. This effort is headed up by John Vasos, Vice President of the Michigan Longbow Association. John has been doing this for a couple of years now and has sent many, many bows, arrows, armguards, glove/tabs ect over to Iraq. He usually does this mailing at his own personal expense. He has put out a call for bowstrings.
My request is that if any string makers out there could make a string or two and send them to me with your name, they will be sent to Camp Cuervo Iraq and to our heroes in battle.
Any length and strand size would be helpful. Mostly 58,60,62 and 64 inch lengths.
