C Handle brace height.
« on: September 12, 2013, 10:57:00 PM »
I have a 1970 Bear C Handle with #3 limbs that I'd like to shoot. I searched on line and couldn't find a recommended brace height for the C handle. Most recommendations for Bear handles (A and B) were 7.5"-8.5" from what I read.  I was wondering if the brace height should be a little higher considering it's a 70" bow? I was going to start around 8". The draw weight is 32#, so it's not a hunting outfit...
I was born with nothing and I still have most of it left.

Hi Chuck,
Both my Type 1 (1970) & 2 (1972) C-Handles are great at 9". Hope this helps you.

Yep, mine is usually around 9". Once I hear the string smacking the limb, I give it a twist or two. It's surprising how well these bows can shoot matched up with the right shaft.
