Here are some pictures of a Bear A Mag riser showing it in a stage of paint stripped off, then after riser is etched with acid to make primer stick, then primer applied, then flocked.

The guy that does actual flocking charges $75 if your riser is stripped of paint and ready to flock or $100 if he has to strip paint etc.
