Terry; while you are in Salado on your hunt ,you should go to Belton, about 5 miles up I-35 to visit Peacocks Archery. Not really a trad shop but Mr. Peacock has collected recures and longbows for years, and has over 300 of them hanging from the ceiling and in cases in the shop. I`ve shot stickbows for 45 years, both target and hunting and he`s got several I`ve never seen. Allow yourself about an hour to see them and talk to Mr. Peacock,he`s a great guy,and he hunts with a stickbow. Bob

I use 5" for 3 fletch and 4" for four fletch.  Been finding myself using more and more of the 4" lately.

Minoritey I may be... but since I have started shooting CT Rhino's I have been shooting nothing but 4" Fletching.  A straighter shaft=Less steering on the back end.  Quick recovery and great penetration!

Been using 5" on my 3 and 4 fletch, but am now going to try 4" for my 4 fletch.

Burn 3 helical 5.5" parabolic shape. Haven't found an arrow/broadhead that won't fly well with big feathers.

4" shield cut out of my ironwood widow recurve so the feather touches the end of my nose at full draw.

5inch bananas or 5 1/2 same for parobolics and sheild cut...The longer feathers make some arrows work better, thats just what I feel, I like the 4x4 fletch with 4inch feathers, but not for hunting....I have couple three dozen of Legacys in 4 inch feather that fly great and are just find... :)
