Bear take down limb question

I have been bitten hard by the Bear takedown bug the last couple of years and as a result, I have a half dozen of them at the house now.  I recently picked up a late 80's green stripe that was supposedly new in the box and unshot.  You certainly couldn't disprove it by the condition of the bow... unblemished and gorgeous.

Question about it though.... I have seven sets of Bear limbs, mostly the newer ones, and they all have a small brass bushing in the limb around the hole that goes over the locator screw when it is assembled.  The green tip limbs for this bow do not have this bushing on either limb.  Is this correct for this vintage of takedown or is something amiss?

Currently I have only the newer limbs;  they all have the brass bushing in them.   From memory, I do not recall seeing this in limbs of an older vintage---green stripe era and '70's era bows.

As far as I know the only purpose for the riser pin and locator hole in the limb was to;  1-specif top and bottom limbs and their proper locations and, 2-make sure the limb was seated all the way in the socket.

I have had several sets of older Bear limbs and have never seen a brass bushing in any of them.  Just a hole where the locator pin slides in.  So, I assume they are only in the newer limbs.  My newest is from the 80's.

I was bitten by the takedown bug in 1980 and was finally able to get a 80s green stripe.   There are no bushings.  I ordered a set of new ones and they did have bushings.  The bushings also made for a difficult fit.

The older limbs did not have the brass bushings. I have owned about 30 or more sets of limbs, none have had the bushings and I have never had a problem relating to that hole. It is a none issue.
