Zephyr Broadheads - Anyone have experience????
« on: December 16, 2007, 09:55:00 AM »
You don't hear much about these heads, does anyone use them or have used them before?  What did you think?

Thanks for the help

Our own Terry Green took a huge buck this year with the Sasquach. Search the thread "Tarzan's got a good'n down" for some pics and lots of info.

The Sasquatch looks like a nice head. Itis a big wide head but also has the little bleeders. Great combo! I m gettting some as stocking stuffers so I will be trying them out soon!!

Taken with a Zephyr Sasquatch.....

Entrance wound.....

Only exited half way cause it poked the off leg bone just a smidge under the armpit.....

This was a 260# buck, and the Sasquatch cut this rib in half going in.

Terry - So basicly you have had good experiences with them, is that what I am supposed to gather from your post???    :biglaugh:

Enough said I guess.  Great Buck and very nice pics I might add.

Thanks for the input.

I did look back at the Tarzan post and not sure how I missed that one, but must not have been paying attention.

Anyway, thanks again and I will have to try some out, as they are the correct weight for my setup.

Yes, I had a great experience out of the Sasquatch....not giving up on my Zwikey Delta 4 blades just yet though.....too many memories and short blood trails with them for so long.

I'll not ever doubt the performance of the Sasquatch on deer though, and will try them again in TX I suppose.

Here's a real perspective of the size of the buck...it was Sasquatch vs Sasquatch as you can see.

That buck just brings a smile to my face.  I just want to keep congratulating Terry on shooting such an awesome brute and the adventure he went through to take him.  Bowhunting at it's first class, finest level, the way the founders intended it to be.  I got to get some of those broadheads! LOL!

I think they are the best broadheads going.  I have used them since 1995 on deer, bear, hogs, bison, Zebra, Red Hartebeest, Impala, Nyala, and multitudes of small game.  Never had one fail and I still have some that I bought back in 95.  I like the fact that being stainless steel the edges don't oxidize and get dull just sitting around.  They make a huge hole in things and to quote Paul Brunner "they fly like frozen rope".  Also I have never had any pentration issues with them.  I am a fan of big broadheads    I also like Snuffer 160's.  Joseph

I quit counting how many hogs I've killed with them. I think the count ended at 23. I've taken deer, bear, hogs, javelina, sheep, and goats with the Sasquatch. It makes one hell of a hole, comes with bleeder blades, and gets scalpal sharp. I'd say to try a pack. I think you'll like the results! CK
