There ought to be a law that if you score a bow deal like someone did today on a '58 Kodiak, 60", 47#, in very, very good condition, that you either shoot the heck out of it or flip it quickly to someone who will.
I didn't bid, but two characters sat on either shoulder here for the last few days trying to influence my decision:
"Go for it, that bow is a shooter and the price is likely to be depressed by the vague description."
"No, you already have the same bow in 58#, which is how you know it will be a shooter, plus a 48# Grizzly. Not to mention two old selfbows, one of which is the smoothest of the bunch here. Plus the billets for that takedown that are undoubtedly ready to be worked on. And the tax return needs attention ..."
I sure hope the fortunate buyer shows up here. Just don't be telling us it's going on the wall! Fred wasn't making wall queens, you know. :rolleyes:
