Seeing as I'll be driving alone anyone in the Ypsi/AnnArbor area want a ride?

Hey I got this scetched up roughly tonight and plan on starting to burn tomorow,,The poem is just awsome,,gave me a chill when I red it,, nice deer and a difficult turkey to fill in,, I trace just about everything I wood burn but I free hand everything inside of the trace, likea all the feathers and the detail in the head and all,,I'm so excied to do this for the children and I'm really trying to get something for everyone to go home with,,

I will also have 8 targets that I make from work,, These targets will last an entire summer for even the most dedicated shooters,, will post pics tomorrow of those,, they are 24" x 24" boxes with layers of foam sheeting that we use to protect parts during shipment but after that they throw them away and I make targets out of them,, I also have six arrows holders I'm owrking on as well I should have those done by the end of the week. They come in handy in the back yard shooting or for storing arrows in,,
J.B.  God bless

I got a question why the restriction on blunts for the hunt is that a game law?

I havent looked into it yet but I believe it might be game laws.  I was going to ask a DNR officer about that because I have heard some people using MA-3 or Bodkin broadheads for rabbits and squirrels.

Yeah I would definatly now hunt with broadheads with dogs.  There is to much at stake and the risk of wounding a dog would be to high.  But for out just stomping brush or squirrel hunting is what I was always curious about.  I have shot a few rabbits with judos and had to put 2-3 arrows in them before they went down.  Field points get lost to easy.  I am trying hex blunts this year so we will see how they do.

the restriction is for safetys sake... a hex is ok....but no points or broadheads... we will have  a large group of people plus dogs...arrows do skip and can ricochet...blunts and judos will take care of a bunny with no problem...plus that is the head you want on while stump shooting....i dont think it is a game law though....

I understood the broadhead restriction just not the field point, I do see the skipping thing happening with frozen ground and rocks.
Good call.

So I know this was brought up before but now that we are getting really close what bow and arrow set up did everybody decide on bringing?

I am going to bring my new Shrew Lil' Favorite Gold shooting 2216s with hex blunt and judos and some 2117 aluminum flu flus

I will probably be bringing some of my other bows so if guys would like to shoot them they are more than welcome to!!
