What information can I get on?

I picked up a bow for the wife to shoot at the UBM today.

It's a Ben Pearson 3 piece take down recurve 60" and 30@28.

It has BPH 60 on it.

Is this a collectable?

There is just not a whole lot of interest in collecting Ben Pearson bows...that is not to say they are not great bows...my first Trad bow is a Ben Pearson Pro Staff 3000 metal riser

Hi Mudd,

I had one, BPH-60, 50#, all black with gold stripe style decals on the upper and lower limb backs down by the limb bolts, kind of a stick on grip and little rubber-like trim details stuck to the metal riser above and below the grip.  

Mine was a 1977.

That riser with the stick on plastic pieces on the riser and stick on plastic grip sounds like the same, or very similar, riser as my Pro Staff 3000...I have also seen the same riser on a compound Pearson bow...as I recall my bow would be from 1981...I am unable to post pictures with this computer but if you post a picture I can tell you if mine is similar...the Pro Staff 3000 is a target bow and came in lengths of 66, 68 and 70 inches with white glass and black tip overlays

I was told that the same riser was used on some compound bows but unfortunately I can't find any pictures of my bow.  I had sold it a couple of years ago at the TBW Packwood shoot.  

The limbs had a single bottom bolt and a half circle upper pivot/locator that registered in a matching cutout in the riser.  The riser was designed for an elevated rest and had a nylon screw to adjust the centershot or remove and add a Berger button.

Hey Mudd, nice bow! From the pics, that string looks a little thick for 30 lbs.! Alot of twist, too.

Get a new one, She will love ya for it!
