Bear Polar brace height

I have a 1966 Bear Polar; serial #6J194, 63", 27#. Can anyone tell me what would be a recommended brace height for this bow. The string it came with braces it at 8.75" which seems rather high for a 63" bow.

Most of my Polars are around 7.5". Especially the 66" ones.

Back in the day Bear didn't give a brace height. they just said the strung bow should be 3" shorter than the AMO length. So your 63" Polar should stand at 60" when strung which ends-up being a 7 1/2 to 8" brace height.
