Bear, Black bear Recurve arrow rest/strike plate
« on: April 19, 2017, 07:52:00 AM »
It appears these bows were made in the 70's. Does anybody know what the production arrow rest and strike plate looked like? I'm trying to restore this bow.

I'm also in need of a plastic domed coin for a bear Black bear I have that is missing the coin. How do I go about getting my hands on one? Ive checked **** but I can only find reproductions.

The coins on the old Bear compounds are the same. Pick up an old Bear compound cheap and scavenge the coin.

You may already have your answer about the rest by now but if not the original rest and strike plate were the same design as the current Bear rug rest with leather strike plate. I have a Black Bear I bought new in early 70's and just replaced the original rest in the past year but with velcro because I had some and was looking for a functional rest, not restoring it.
