help me age this bow?
« on: July 05, 2017, 10:52:00 PM »
Hi guys,
I went to a rumage sale this past weekend and picked up a Locksley Puma 62"recurve for $8. Anyway, it has a number on it 0961 and has green glass on the back and brown glass on the belly. just wondering if any of you guys would know how old this bow is? it's a 50# @28 and is in really good condition.I heard it was a Ben Pearson bow.

Locksley bows were made by Ben Pearson and the models were only cosmetically different from the Ben Pearson models. Not surprisingly, the 62" Locksley Puma was made on the same forms as the Ben Pearson Cougar. They are not the speediest bows ever made but they are smooth shooting and generally held up well over 55-60 years.

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.
