Big D and me
« on: August 13, 2006, 08:06:00 PM »
Friends,

This divorce has been the lowest of all low points in my life. It has devastating me financilly and emotionally. It has effected every area of my life in ways that i thought I could handle. Still going through it and would appreciate some support. Getting close to the end.

Gone through one and know the grief, anger, guilt, and hopeless feelings. Will continue praying.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Keep your faith and the LORD will show you the path and put light back into your life.

Hey Brother my son is going through his second divorce right now and the enemy is doing his best to rob, stel and destroy his life, so this topic is very close to my heart! The key is exactly what Dave mentioned earlier! Focus on the King of Kings; He has made us a promise. Jesus said seek the Kingdom of God FIRST and everything else will fall in line. This is a great time to refocus and charge hard after the Kingdom of God!

Be blessed!

I recieved my decree absolute just last week, after three years of clawing myself up from where you feel you are now. I was lucky in the process to find a wonderful lady that I should have met twenty years ago. But one thing I believe, is that the whole process has made me a stronger person, and a more understanding one too. My advice is to try and treat it all as a series of challenges for you to overcome. Keep the thought in your mind that she has hurt you all she can and from now on you control your own destiny. And the odd prayer can help too so I send one up for you brother.

Thanks bro's. Could also use some prayer for my body. Hit a deer on my bike sunday night. I was able to walk about a mile to a gas station to get help. Keep in mind I said I walked. Alot of guys who hit deer on a motorcyle cant say that. My left shoulder is messed up as well as my right leg. Possible rotator cuff tear. Nothing broke. Yes I was wearing a helmet. Havent wore one in a long time but put it on that night.

Dave,
thanks for the e-mails. I have been out of commission for a while. Moved out and am in the process of moving my business. Hoped to be done by now but it's a process.

Sounds like the Lord is letting you know that it CAN get worse, but if you continue to lean on Him and Look to HIM, he will see you through it all. Not without some bumps and bruises, like the bike accident, but you will make it!

prayers for peace that passess all understanding!

Jim,
Don't know if you remember me but I certainly want to send along my prayers and best wishes.  I have been where you are and believe me when I say that there is a light at the end of that tunnel.  Best Wishes to you my friend.  Frank

Things are pretty tough for you right now, they'll get better, God has a funny way of getting through to you, when we are at our lowest is when we speak to him the most. Speak to him.  VB

Divorce is over as of 9/25. Time to move on. A few weeks ago I met a lady and things are going great and starting to look up. Thanks for all the prayers and concern from the Gang.

Sure good to hear that things are on the upswing.

Don't forget some of the great thoughts expressed early on about turning more toward God for that source of unending joy...not only on earthly things.

People will come and go in your /our lives, but God is the only constant. He works wonders in our daily lives when we don't see or care to give him the credit.  I'd not have made it the past 2 years were it not for His daily carrying me along the beach of life leaving only that one set of footprints.

Wishing you the best. Prayers sent for wisdom. I might be too cautious but I waited 12 years before starting to look for a friend/wife and have been super blessed with my wife. My feeling is no relationship is better then a bad one.
Praying for the healing to take place in your life after a bad ordeal.

That's great news my friend. Be yourself and treat her right, and thank the Lord that the climb up the hill will be made all that easier with a smiling face beside you.
