I started this year with a lot of hope. I had a good job that paid well, plans for Lea Ann to come and visit in the summer, plans for me moving to Arkansas to marry her. Then I was made redundant in March, I had to start eating into the savings I had put back. It ended with Lea Ann not being able to come over and our wedding plans being put back.
Well, after a couple of false starts with jobs, I finally got offered a job at the local paper mill, which pays even better than the original job. It also gives me a lot of time off due to the shift pattern we work. The best thing though is that the machine I work on is shutting down for 17 days over Christmas and I've booked my tickets to come and spend it with Lea Ann and the kids. The one thing I promised myself last Christmas was that we would not spend another Christmas apart.
The wedding plans are back on a new schedule, and while we wait for them to pan out, I'll be able to save a tidy sum to pay for it all.
Sorry for the long post, but I just felt I had to let all my Trad family know my good news and show some of you that there is a silver lining to every cloud, and that someone is always watching you.
