Prayers For a Fallen Police Officer
« on: October 18, 2006, 07:40:00 AM »
Please pray for the family of Officer Micahel Briggs of the Manchester, New Hampshire Police Department.  Michael was shot and killed in a senseless act of brutality Monday morning with fifteen minutes left in his shift.  Michael was 35 years old and leaves a wife and two young children behind.  Though I didn't know Michael personally, this hits home pretty hard.....

Lord, we tend to take forgranted those wonderful men and women who stand between us and the dangers of our society, just as we often take your Love for us forgranted until such times as we face our own trials.

Help us to be more aware and to express our appreciation to those who serve here at home in unglamorous roles as well as those in harm's way in our military.

Bless the family who lost father and husband and all those who knew and love them.  Temper the hearts and minds of Michale's commrades as they seek out and deal with his killer(s).

Lord, be with these people and bring them peace through closer walk with you.  Keep all those who serve in so many capacities safe from harm and bring them closer to you and your Grace.
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Good words Doc, Amen.

May God bless those who risk their lives every day protecting the rest of us from evil, and may He comfort Michael's surviving wife and children.
