Does anyone here have any experience with this bow?

If so, can you give your opinions?

cpn,

I found this post for you listed in Pow Wow.

I shot the Dark Archer a couple of months ago. I was impressed. It was 55@28. The bow was smooth and to my surprize quiet. It had good speed as well. If you are into short recurves I would recommend the Dark Archer.

If you type Dark Archer into the search for Pow Wow, you can find more entries.

I have shot it and it is a nice bow. It is quiet and pretty smooth and the speed was average. The finish is excellent as are all Lees. Shawn

speed average? how so? this bow is just as fast as all other Bob Lee bows according to them. the last bow in tbm that was tested went 193...i think thats right there with the best including the arroyo, isnt it?

It is not 193 at 9gpp and 28"s. It may be at 30"s. I also should say when I say average that would be average for a modern recurve of that design. It was the same #age as my Arroyo and my bow was definitely quicker. I did not have a chrono but did not need one to know my Arroyo  and the Zipper I had at the time were quicker. Shawn

I got one of them about a month ago and have shot it quite a bit. So far what I have noticed is that it is a very nice bow. Shoots real well, quiet and seems fast even for the light weight that it is. Mine is 44# @ 28" and I draw 29 1/2". When I got the bow I set it up like I do with all others. Nock about 1/2"Above center, a pair of Cat Whiskers, brace height @ 7 1/4 to 7 1/2 " and shot right off the shelf. The first 5 arrows  I shot were at 12 yards(in garage)and ALL 5 were in the bullseye. The arrows were 2016 with 4 4" feathers. They flew real good but have now switched to beeman 500's and noticed a little more speed. I will get the crongraph out soon to check speed. The bow is real smooth and shows no stacking at all and for being a 54" bow I noticed no finger pinch at all. The only bad thing about the bow I can see is the shelf plate material they use is kind of cheap as it's a piece of leather. As cheap as it may be I have left it on for now as the arrows shoot well off of it. So far in the little time that I have had it I have shot a nice 4x4 a doe a fox and a couple rabbits.

I shot one today!  First time I have ever seen one in person much less shoot one.  Real quick bow.  It was much faster than a new Bear Kodiak Mag at the same draw weight.

Lee, you didn't by chance shoot this bow up around the belvior area just north of Greenville, did you? I know there was one living up there the last time I stopped by. Don

Hay Tim!! "A 4x4, a doe, a fox and a couple of rabbits". Thats not bad with a new recurve, that is sporting a "cheap leather shelf plate". Better contact Bob and Rob and have them send you a couple extra shelf plates cause I wouldn't recommend your changing anything on that bow.
