Matt, been there, done that. Had surgery on August 8th and was back shooting the mzloader for our PA Doe/BP season mid-Oct. Made it to the last week fo the season for archery. And I was then approaching mid-50's!!!
You can do this. Get them to cut you soon and do EVERYthing they tell you.. I kept making the doc's andPT people nuts saying, "Show me the difference between "pain" and 'injury". I'll deal with the pain as long as I don't injure what's been done. They did. I did and I was shooting my hunting bow by mid season! Wellenough to hunt from a ground blind by end of season.
Also like you had lots of other stuff in there... shredded tendons from spurs, torn rotator, impingement needing ground down.
You ain't out of it yet!
Good luck and prayers for a good outcome and wisdom to find that doc approved point between "pain and damage".
