http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=34;t=000412 But, the longbow I built this summer in a build-along right here has had a stellar inaugural season. A young forkie early in the season, a doe before Thanksgiving, but today was something else! After not seeing a single deer since my daughter killed on spike with the rifle, I ended up taking a doe, the 15th deer I'd seen this morning. Then 2 minutes later a forkie comes trotting by the same trail, but with only one buck tag left, he got a pass to grow up. Then another 2 minutes goes by, and another deer comes down the hill, nose the the ground - followed the exact same path as the doe I just shot. Big mistake. Shot him within two feet of where the arrow from the doe was sticking in the ground. Man, I picked the right day for vacation!
Merry Christmas, all. I think Santa came early for me! Steve
