Trust in Him in all things! Easier said than done at times, as I'm painfully aware myself...

...sure beats the options, though.

That is a lot to undertake at one time, John.

I'm happy for your change in jobs and location. God will provide, but not always on our time table. I'm reminded of that daily the past few months!  :)

We've got you and your wife covered in prayers.

Peace and blessings to you both!

Keep the Son in your eyes!

I don't want to sound like a broken record but the situation has gotten worse. The MS is continueing to spread. My wife will start chemo therapy as soon as possible try to stop the advance. We are also at the point to where we will need someone here at home with her while  am at work. So many changes in a short poriod of time... John

God sometimes says "NO" to our prayers for healing and we never know why...

I guess that is why it's called "Faith", defined as believing that in which we cannot see or know.

Prayers continue for your lovely wife to be healed and for you and she to find peace, love and strength in this time of trail through total submission to His Will.

Well it has been a while since I have checked in and things have not gotten any better. Went on vacation a couple of weeks ago and my wife's health went down hill dramatically. We did get to spend a couple of wonderful days at Cedar Lodge in Missouri and a few days in So. Illinois visiting my family. By the time we got home, her strength was nill. Called the doctors at Texas Tech Med and they wanted her in the emergency roomm ASAP. She is now having problems with her breathing and all of the strength in both legs are now gone. The left arm is now almost useless. They are trying a treatment called IGIV which is used on HIV patients. I picked up an application for a nursing home and my heart is breaking. I have cried all evening and can't imagine being without her in this home. There are some other medical problems that she is havng but I don't want to share them on line. I will continue to love her and cherish her regardless of her condition. What a gift she has been to me. I pray that those of you that are married can have a love for each other as we have had and continue to have. And to those of you that have not taken that step, I pray that the Lord would bring someone into your life that would love you and would allow you to love them back and learn in a deeper sense what serving one another really means. Pray for us. John

John my heart aches for you two. I know what it feels like to have that relationship with ones wife and I agree with you in your prayer for others to experience the same. Prayers continue for you and your wife. May Jesus comfort and strengthen you both.

I share in that heartache hearing your tale of deccline for this lovely woman/wife of yours.

I have held hope with you that the Lord might see fit to bouy her up and provide healing... We never know the reasons for what occurrs, but God doesn't waste a hurt.

Let me say, John, that your testement of love for your life partner is so refreshing in today's world of instant gratification. I've not know such love and while getting a bit ole, still hold out hope. I know your level of committment makes God smile.

Prayers continue for some miracle of healing and for guidance, strength, patience and the Holy Spirit to wrap you both in God's love and mercy through this ordeal.

Just feeling really down tonight. My wife has been in the hospital for the last 4 weeks and I am bringing her home Saturday. The physical therapy has not helped and the reports are that her condition has declined since she entered the hospital. I have been running on edge trying to make arrangements for her coming home. I just got through re-aranging the house due to the hospital bed and other medical equipment that we are going to have to have to transfer her. I walked in the closet just a minute ago and couldn't stand it... Looking at the shoes and clothes that she loved to wear. The hiking boots that will never go on a walk again.... Lord have mercy on my wife and give me the strength and love to be the husband that she needs!

I have read your post and my heart and soul cries for you. I lost my wife to cancer in 2003 after a 4 year battle, so I know where you are coming from. If it had not been for The Lord, neither of us would have made it that long. She was the strongest person I ever knew. Never complained and trusted in the Lord all the way. She is in a much better place now with no more pain and no more tears. My prayers go out for you and your wife and family. Keep your trust in Him. None of us knows His plan for us.

The faith your wife and you have shown has helped bolster mine which has been slipping a little lately. God Bless and keep you.

Don't chide yourself my friend for feelings. They are as natural as breathe..its what you do with them.

Continue to step with God and I'm sure all that you've shared tells us that you will be all that is required in meeting yoru wife's needs.

Prayers are all we've got and there are times like these I wish there were so much more one could do to reach out and help.

Continues prayers for peace, strength and God's will to be revealed to you as your work through this struggle with your loving wife, family...and God.

Keep the Son in your eyes!

Going to the MS specialist today that recommended chemo treatment. Since then there has been several other doctors that do not like this type of treatment. Pray for us to be discerning and for the doctors for wise councel. There has been an offer to us to send my wife to Costa Rica where they are havng good results with using a person's own stem cells to treat the illness. If this is something that needs to be pursued, pray that the Lord would move our hearts to do this....JOhn
