Sorry the call wasn't a better outcome, but there is sooo much being done in MS treatment today.  I've had friends even rebound wonderfully with a dietary change including top-knotch nutritional suppliments.

Keep the Son in your and your wife's eyes. He will lead you through this.  Surrender to God, but don't ever, ever give up!

Just an update. We have since seen another neurologist and he is filling out paperwork to get my wife into the Mayo clinic in Phoenix. He is convinced that there is some additional issues to be looked at before the medication is started fo the MS. She is haveing difficulty walking and the other leg is starting to weaken. The doctors are very concerned at how rapidly this is progressing....John

Thanks to all for the prayers. We will be traveling to Phoenix the last part of Febuary to the Mayo clinic. My wife's ability to walk has slowly deteriorated. They have not started treatment for the MS due to the unknown reason for nerve damage in the left leg. I have been able to go home on the weekends which has helped but I don't know how long I can do this with her health the way that it is. However, there has been a window of opportunity to share the hope that is in us and the confidence that we can have in the Lord even in the face of adversity. My wife is thinking about starting a MS support group in Carlsbad which will help her as well as others. She is a fighter but still has her moments of despair. My love for her is growing even stronger as the days go by and I realise that there will be some things that we will never be able to do again together. I would love to see her walk out that door to greet me when I get home Friday. What a precious gift that life and health is. But what is even more precious is the life eternal that our Lord has graciously offered us and has given us a hope that is beyond understanding.....John

...hope beyond understanding.."

John, that is the essence of it all, isn't it?

Your testimony of love is uplifting to read. Thank you for your candor with us internet friends.  Tis surely a mystery why some have such love to be challenged with health and others of us haven't yet been blessed w/ a true life partner...

I don't believe God is a puppeteer that pulls strings to see us dance, but when "stuff" happens, I do believe "God never wastes a hurt."

There is much to be learned and shared I'm sure through your struggles. Ups and downs, for you and your wife, are part of being human and God of all, understands.

Know that we continue to uplift your wife in prayer and ask the Lord to bring healing to her, according to His plan. And in the interim to give you both strength, peace and the assurance of His presence in your daily lives...lifting you up on the wings of eagles.

Keep the Son in your eyes. Prayers continue!

John,
I pray that God gives the doctors the knowledge to come to a conclusion to what your wifes problems are. Its the unknown that makes thing difficult.Keepyour chin up John.

We are back home from the Mayo clinic. The specialist have determined that MS is the only disease that we are dealing with. They are also confident that what damage has been done has been done. There are no significant evidence of lesions on the brain. She will be going through some steroid treatments this week (makes very ill) and the MS treatment will begin as soon as we make contact with our neurologist. The main concern presently is with her balance and falling. She has said that this is like be in mourning over a death of a loved one. I do thank all of you who have been lifting us up in prayer and for all of the churches that have us on their prayer list. It still makes me wonder how someone can go through this life without the Lord, the Church and fellow believers. Thanks again.... John
