Prayer's For Country Girl's Husband, Tom
« on: November 14, 2007, 07:17:00 AM »
I just received this e-mail this AM. Please heed Dina's requests about no e-mails or calls - but most of all spare a prayer for Tom, a recently retired law enforcement officer and fine man - also for her and the family - God's strength to all, please Lord.
..............................

To everyone

On Saturday Tom and I were returning from our yearly bowhunting trip to Missouri and stopped for the night in Paducah, KY.  As we retired for the night...Tom went into cardiac arrest...I got rescue enroute and he spent the next 3 days in the hospital.  We are in a motel and will go home tomorrow.  He will have his aortic valve replaced soon after we return home.  Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.  I have a back log of over 300 emails to read eventually...be kind...don't email me...and please do not call  our cell phones.  Between my mom's death and this the phone bill will be horrendous.  Thanks, Duba

Thanks for the insights, Bernie. It's hard to imagine Tom as anything but vibrant, fiesty and filled with vim and vigor.

Lord, I come to you knowing that your love is awesome and you forgive us for all that we do to disappoint you. We've seen your glorious miracles played out here over and over. We ask Lord, according to Your Will, that you reach out to Tom, Dina and their family in this time of need. You know these people and their heart. We ask your full healing blessings on Tom and his family.

Fill them with the peace of your Holy Spirit and lead his doctors to a successful heart valve replacement operation. Heal this man that he may truly witness to your power and glory, knowing that it is by Your strips that he is healed and returned to full vigor and health. Bring him back to his full strength that he might continue his good works here on earth. Bless those who stand by him and love him.

Bless Dina as she deals with the death of her mother. Provide for them each in their own special needs. We ask in Jesus' name. Amen.

Good news. Prayers continue for complete healing that Tom might be fully back to his old self shortly.

May Thanksgiving truly be a blessed time for the family.

I am hoping that Tom is continuing to improve, but not to the point of becoming a P.I.T.A.  :D
Truly, these are two of the finest, kindest people that you would ever want to meet, and I pray that their lives are starting to even out and return to a bit of normalcy.
