Threats at jr high
« on: February 11, 2008, 02:19:00 PM »
Hi all
My son Trevor (12 yr old)7th grader had a good buddy pass weekend before last, Hunter was diagnosed w/ Luekemia beginning of Dec,passed into the lords arms 5 weeks later.Trevor had a very hard time w/ his passing.Still working w/ his grief
Last week an unhappy blue haired (Goth/Punk) 8th grade girl told Trevor he was going to die this week.My wife and I decided we could not risk that it was just talk and contacted the school, they took it very seriously and have the parents and child in counseling.Just asking for prayers that this does not escalate. Also that I do not react in anger.
Thank you so much, Kurt Bel5

Prayers sent for protection, compassion, comfort, wisdom, and strength. Peace and understanding for your son.

Sometimes it seems so hard to try to make sense of things or figure them out.Understanding and coping with death as an adult can be hard,as a 12 year it has to be tough. My heart goes out to Trevor. With God's love and guidance you guys will get thru this.As far as the blue haired young lady goes I pray that something happens soon in her life that she opens up and accepts God.You did the right thing by going to the authorities.Anger has been one of my obstacles too.I'm praying for you guys.Stay strong.

Wow...tough stuff right there. Trevor has good parents. I'd be worried if he didn't have trouble dealing with a young classmate dying... but kids are way more resilient.

Good luck with the current school thing. Kids seem to naturally be so capable of cruelty either on the playground in grade school, or in the halls as the get older.

Lord, you know the classmate's heart and Trevor's needs. Reach out and touch this situation with your Holy SPirit and bring something good of this situation, according to Your will, we ask in Jesus' name. Amen

MAN, THIS IS A TOUGH ONE. PRAYERS FOR HUNTER'S FAMILY AND TO EASE TREVOR'S PAIN.
YOU DID THE RIGHT THING CONTACTING THE SCHOOL TO PROTECT YOUR SON AND MAYBE MANY MORE.
PRAYERS ALSO FOR THE GIRL AND HER FAMILY TO FIND A WAY TO WORK THIS OUT TOWARD LOVE. WHAT A TIME WE LIVE IN, WHEN THE YOUNG FEEL SO HOPELESS AND FRUSTRATED.
