By the way, I got saved last week. . .
« on: March 10, 2008, 01:10:00 PM »
I went to a revival last week; my friend insisted I go with him.  I was greatly moved by the pastor's message, and when he asked if I knew in my heart that I was saved, I couldn't raise my hand.  I had to get up and come down and ask Jesus to be my savior.  Been going to church off and on for a good while, got baptized young, but just couldn't honestly say that I was saved.  Was a very powerful feeling, now I understand what people mean when they say they were "called" to accept Jesus.  I hope that I can live up to the calling.  Anyway, just thought I'd share this.  Seems like, with what I see of this world, that I better get myself right with my maker.  God bless all, Paul.

Paul,
thanks for sharing your story. I am active with the Awana kids/youth program at our church. We had our pinewood derby yesterday afternoon. A lot of work goes into it, from all car workshops for getting the cars built to getting free concessions, cooking. donated and bought prizes and the efforts of all in getting it set up for raceday. A lot more work than one would think. a bunch of man/woman hours. after the races concluded, and before the trophies were given. Our pastor had a little talk with all, parents, kids on what it takes to get into heaven. the most important race of all. when he said the prayer for those who werent saved, a Mom of one of the kids that comes to Awana. she said the saving prayer with him and came up afterwards with him. I told her that with her being saved was worth every effort, skinned knuckle and hour it took to put it on. I am so glad for you, and the fact I have another brother and sister in Christ. Vermonster13 gave me some advice on getting a Archery program started up w/ the youth. I am getting info together now to take it to the Pastor. please wish me luck.

   blessings, Froggy

Paul,
It is a great thing that has been done. There are some good people here to help when the tough times come around. Fall in love with Christ and you will be amazed at the Lord can do with you. Thanks for the testimony... John

Paul,Thanks for sharing with us.That's a huge life changing step you have made, and not always an easy one either.
I remember the first time I went to the front of the church and asked God to come into my life and take over.My feet felt like they were glued to the floor and I never realized how far it was to the front. But man, once I got there and hit the deck, there was no going back.Thank you God!
I'm proud of you Paul.Stay focused and stay strong,God won't let you down.PRAYIN HARD IN PA

Paul,

Salvation is never earned...it's a gift, free for the asking. I spent too many years being groomed that somehow, I had to "get it right" and each inevitable failure, I felt defeated and unworthy. Now I accept that I'm unworthy and only God's Grace and the Blood of Jesus will ever make me worthy...and He loves me for my trying, not my successes.

Welcome to the worn out, beat up, banged around bunch of misfits, miscreants and flawed bunch of tradgang and believers in Jesus.

Anytime...anyplace...Just ask and He and We will be there for you...

GOOD FOR YOU PAUL,
REMEMBER IF YOU HAVE ANY CHILDREN THERE IS NOTHING THEY COULD DO THAT WOULD MAKE YOU DISOWN THEM. MY FOTHER AND I HAD A CHAT ONE DAY, HE TOLD MY BROTHER AND I HE WAS SAVED AS A BOY. I ASKED HIM ABOUT THAT DURING THAT CHAT. HE SAID HE HAD DONE TO MANY BAD THINGS IN HIS LIFE FOR GOD TO FORGIVE HIM. I SAID WHAT HAVE I DONE YOU WOULD NOT FORGIVE ME FOR OR WHAT COULD I DO. HE SAID THERE IS NOTHING. I SAID CAN YOU HERE YOUR SELF HE DID NOT UNDERSTAND. DO YOU UNDERSTAND PAUL. GOD LOVES YOU AND WILL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR YOU AND SO WILL WE,IF YOU GET LOST COME HOME AND THE DOOR WILL ALWAYS OPEN TODAY AND FOREVER.

Paul you're in for the greatest adventure of your life. Always remember it's not your job to try and be good enough for God. Your job is to honest with yourself and Him about your sinful nature and let Him cleanse you of it. Then He'll fill you with Himself and the good you do will give glory to Him and joy to you.
God's best to you and your family!

Paul,

I was an alcholic, liar, thief, and keeper of the bad debt world record. I was lost in a world that was against me.

Jesus knocked.  I answered.

I am a washed whiter than snow, redeemed, refreshed and rightous child of the living God.  I am found and I belong to the everlasting family of my savior Jesus Christ.  I will never be forsaken and neither will you.

Welcome to the family Brother.
