Prayers continue

Dunno what happened to Juan's update, but in a shared email yesterday, he said they were having to amputate his sister's foot/leg... not known if above or below the knee.

Prayers that surgery went well, and that they got all whatever has been the cause...

Praying too, that God, in His Infinite Mercy, will see clear to help her cope with the loss and that she will present with complete healing and strength to show God's love and Grace.

Lord, in your Mercy...

Surgery went well, talked with my sister this morning, said she is doing fine.  I also talked with one of my sons and he said he talked with her this evening and said she may be going home tomorrow.
Oh yeah, they cut below the knee.

Thank you all, God Bless

Thank You, Jesus.  Not only for the successful operation, but for them to be able to get all the infection and save the knee...that will make a prosthetic so much better and easier to learn to use!

Oh, TexMex...you're family has had a time of it. Prayers for peace and strength over the coming months...

Keep the Son in yoru eyes!

Spoke with my sister last night. She told me that the programs she has applied for have come back that she does not qualify -I do not understand our systems, my sister can not work because she can not walk, she needs a prosthesis she can not pay for and there is no one that will help her. I am at a lost, because I don't know what or how to help her.

Please Lord help my sister!

God Bless all of you for your thoughts and prayers.

I'm sorry to hear of this...

Only thought is that the "squeaky wheel" gets the oil...

I've had to fight for every thing I ever got and deserved. Seems the system is designed that those who "should" be a no brainer, have to fight and fight..while the ner'dowells, get things easy.

Get Sis to be the squeaky wheel. Contact your elected (her) officials and rant and rave... have the family do the same. It's election time!

Make the system stop and take a 2nd look...those that go meekly get sheared for sure... Have her apply for Social Security Disability at the same time... when they say she can work... it adds power. Do what it takes.  Don't let a "first no" turn the tables! Satan attacks... fight back!

Sorry... strikin a bit close to the heart on that one but I think it's still sound advice... too many beuracrats...we have to sometimes go after what we want like Christian Soldiers!

Doc, that's what bothers me, she has applied for SSI, Social Security Disability, Medicade -thank God she got some help from the county to pay for some of the medical, but the place that make the prosthesis will not accept the county's money.
It is depressing.  She has even applied with the Texa Rehab. Center and no luck.

Sorry to go on like this I just feel so helpless.

Sure wasn't suggesting answers..just ideas. I'd still contact the state rep and read em the riot act... write letters to them...get the danged govt to earn it's keep helping your sis out... ask them to lean on the rehab center and the other agencies... You have Bureau of Rehab? Or an OVR (new name lately I think) Maybe that is a state gig back here... leave no stone unturned...

Shame today when you have the least to give is when you're demanded to dig the deepest to find resources, energy to fight for them and such...

I'm sure not a big govrt person...by a long shot! But I am for bustin chops on what we've got to do what they should!

Prayers continue for blessings to come to Sis...
