Prayers for Dad
« on: May 20, 2008, 08:47:00 AM »
The end of May I have to go to NJ for a week to help my 75 yr old Dad while he undergoes eye surgery. He is blind in one eye..blood leaking in the vein that feeds the eye so his vision is milky,..and he has a severe cataract in the other. The doctors are gonna implant a contact in that eye while removing the cataract. He lives alone and won't come live with me (fears losing independance)so I am pulling double duty with him and home.

I admire your commitment to your father. Our Father has to smile on that. I've found my own patience sometimes stretched thin with my dad at 87 when he gets stubborn on me so I know how challenging it can be to do it in LOVE.

Keep the Son in your eyes. Prayers the surgery goes well and you Dad can return to some measure of independence and enjoy his latter years.

Blessings on you, too, brother.
