What's really important (update in last post)
« on: November 10, 2008, 11:24:00 PM »
Yesterday and this morning I was on a hunting high after taking a nice doe.

This afternoon it all came crashing down as I got a call at work from my wife. Our son-in-law was critically injured when the Terragator he was driving dropped a back wheel into the ditch and rolled, ejecting him and landing on top of him. He has been air lifted to Mayo Clinic where he is in intensive care with a fractured collar bone, fractured ribs, collapsed lung, crushed pelvis and a large bump on the side of his head. They are still evaluating him and are concerned about bleeding in his lower abdomen and the possibility of neck injury.

My daughter is bearing up well and our grandson is with us. We know Josh will have a long recover, and we pray he is able to recover.

As much as I love archery and hunting, this certainly brings home what is really important...one's family.

Man, my heart goes out to you and your family 30coupe. We have had some trials in our family as well. I will include your son-in-law and your family in my prayers.

Prayers for healing, courage, comfort, and most of all the awareness of Jesus' presence.

Prayers on the way from Ga/FL
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

PRayers here added to others. May God wrap your SIL and your daughter and grandson, and your entire family, in the Holy Spirit's presence to keep peace, hope and love ever present among all who love you son-in-law.

May the medical community by empowered by the Great Physician to help, find and fix all that is needed and then through prayers, that God will heal what the doctor's cannot...

Keep the Son in your eyes!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Thanks again. Josh is in surgery right now to try to repair his pelvis. I am at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. They have computers available in the waiting room. Keeps me sane!

The nurse just came in adn said they started surgery at 7:50 a.m. Now it's just wait and hope.

Well, Josh came home (almost) yesterday. He has to stay at his granparents for a few months because their house is handicap accessible. He will be bed to chair/wheel chair only for three months, then he gets to learn to walk again. At least he is still with us!

Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers. We truly have much to be thankful for today!
