Prayers for the new job He has waiting for me
« on: December 02, 2008, 03:23:00 PM »
Well folks, I got let go by the company I worked for on Monday. Totally blindsided me. For a good part of that day my focus was what a failure I was to my family and worrying about what I was going to do.

After letting my wife know what had happened I returned to knowing that He is going to provide, just as He always does in my/our life. As anyone who has/is going through this knows, that knowledge starts out somewhat tentative but grows with our walk of faith.

I'll keep everyone posted as we make progress.

Thanks to all my brothers and sister prayer warriors,

Man, Larry, you've had a round of those "suprises" in years past!

I had my ONE big surprise this year and it floored me.  Still haven't recovered. some has to do with location, some with career areas of qualification, but some is the economy.

You, on the other hand, seem to always land on your feet and keep moving. I trust that the Lord will see you through this one as well...and I pray for the express ride along with you.

Keep in touch.  Prayers up!

Keep the Son in your eyes!

Prayers for guidance, strength, and God's peace. Prayers continue for all in this situation.

Prayers are on the way from Georgia.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

Well folks, those who know me know that I try to walk in His will and that I know he will bring me through this trial, but the events of the past few days have lead me to believe that I'm really under attack here. My car is in the shop and the list of problems is starting to grow. I also broke a tooth yesterday and the dentist says that it will require a crown on the broken tooth and the one behind it, which will be more than my wife's dental coverage will handle.

So, please keep us in your prayers and include protection from attack from you know who. I appreciate this more than you folks know.

Regards and prayers,

Larry

Larry,
I want to encourage you during this time of trial. The principles of 'spiritual warfare' in Ephesians 6 is a timeless truth that we all need to be reminded of. One of the things that I have learned is that it is not my strength that will see me through but His (Eph 6:10).I know that this has been said so many times that it has almost become cliche ,however, when you are in the heat of the battle, these words come to life.I realize that folks have good intentions when they say 'hang in there' but there are times that if I were relying on my strength, the battle would have been lost from the beginning. There are times when 'hanging in there' just doesn't meet the need that is deep in my soul. I need the "strength of His might". I need Him. That is my prayer for you... John

John,

Thank you for the words and the prayer. When I am in a trial like this I always try to focus on the two sets of tracks in the sand that turn into one set. I know that He is carrying me. It's just hard sometimes to keep your focus on being carried when you are so used to walking on your own.

God bless you and yours, and everyone else here,

Larry

Understand that Larry. Prayers continue for you and all who are going through the same. Also praying for all who still have jobs that we realize that those jobs are not our security nor our identity. Jesus is best at both.
