Club and Job
« on: December 29, 2008, 05:10:00 PM »
Hey guys,

My name is Joshua Pemberton and I live in south Alabama. I am a preachers/missionary kid. I lived in Mexico for 13 years with my parents and we moved back to Bama in 2000. I am now 30 years old and have a beautiful wife and a 4 year old daughter.

I have panic attacks and it is hard for me to keep a job. I have my on business as a computer tech. Doin ok but not great. Thank God for my wife because without her I dont know how we could make it.

I love to build longbows. Its a passion for me. Mine are the Hill style. I want to be able to build and sell them to help out our little family. I am guilty of giving them away. I made one for a friends son and he has a blast with it.

I know this sounds selfish but we need help in a big way. Pray for us that it will be a blessing to our family.

Local archers in the area are going to start up a Christian Bowhunters of America club. Pray that we can get up and started and win people to Christ through our group.

I know it seems alot but thank you and God Bless.

Joshua Pemberton

Prayers for you and your family and your CBA chapter on the way from Georgia.

Joshua,

If you are good at your bow making by all means give it a go. Hill style bows are quite popular. But, you do have to charge for your work. Keep the price reasonable & you should be able to get something started. You might concider advertising in the classified section in Traditional Bowhunter Magazine.

You have my prayers that things will work out!

Prayers sent for freedom from the panic attacks and attacks are what they are. Have you sought help from a dr? I know it may not be what may be considered spiritual but there are medical ways of getting relief. Once your free from those you will be free to follow God in whatever direction He leads you. Seek His will in this and you'll feel the wind at your back as He opens doors for you. When you build bows if you have the laminations, the wood for the riser, and the fiberglass but don't have any glue your not building anything. God's will is the glue you need right now. IMHO
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Joshua, God can and will open doors for us. We just have to have the courage to walk through them when they open.

Each time you take a step in the right direction satan pushes you back two.

The key is to keep pushing forward and have faith brother...

Prayers on the way...

Joshua,
I echo Benson's words in that counseling and sometimes medicinal interventions are tools God makes available to straighten the path to Him.

Sounds like finding your soul mate has been a true Christ-mas gift for you. Blessings on you both. Isn't it grand when one can find a life partner that shows true Christ like love? A special praise to God for that balance point in your life along with the panic problems.

Prayers for your work in the CBA work and Thanks be to God for that mission work to reach others right here at home in grass-roots fashion.

May the new year continue to challenge and bless you in special ways, Joshua.

Keep the Son in your eyes, bro!

Thanks for the prayers and concerns. I have been to many a Dr. and cyciatrist. They have helped but with Gods help I can carry on a somewhat normal life. I still get a bit nervous when I go into areas with a group of people or I dont have a way to "get out".

I have been told that I have PTSD(Post Tramatic Stress Disorder). Mexico was a tough place on a kid but God blessed and touched so many people through my parents. It was worth it. Now I am not sayin it was all bad by no means. It could have happond here in the States just aswell.

Enough ramblings of a redneck,
Thanks and God Bless,
Joshua

PTSD is something that will probably never go away completly, but you can control it.

I have, but it took some pushing. Stay in the word and direction will follow.
