back from Australia - to bad news
« on: September 26, 2009, 05:50:00 AM »
I returned from my Australia hunt with a few Trad Gang guys tonight to some bad news.  Our little Bichon, Cy, had to be put down while I was gone.  Cy has been part of the Riley family for 9 years - a very important member.  The little guy was a loyal, good friend.  He developed Pancreatitis suddenly, and spend 4 days with the Vet and an animal hospital.  My wife, daughter were crushed, but each time I call home my wife refused to mention it, as she did not want to upset me on my trip. My son was here to help support them and help with the final decision.   Some great stories will be posted over the next few days about our trip down under, but for now, all my thoughts are with my little white buddy who was not here to greet me when I walked through the door.

Prayer to the Great Spirit>>>------>
Cy will be waiting.  I know, 'cause I've got a few good Friends, of the Cannine type, waiting for me!  As I sit here my Red Heeler, "JAG" is laying by my feet.  She goes everywhere with me.  She's the last of a good line, and getting older (10 plus..).
You won't find one to Replace Cy, but you will find one to take his place.

Sorry to hear about Cy. We know what you are going through as we lost our little "Squeeky" while we were in Colorado in August. She was with us for 13 years and traveled all over the US as our constant companion in the camper. It is still hard to even mention her name without crying. Your family and mine were both blessed to have had such a great pet for so many years.
Time spent alone in the woods puts you closer to God.

Prayers and thoughts are with you. We lost both of ours last year.

We adopted two new balls of joy but I will always miss the other two as well.
