Squirrel Bait aka Mike Mitchum
« on: December 13, 2009, 03:34:00 PM »
My good friend Mike's Mother has been in a war with cancer for several years- she's finally lost after a lot of courageous fighting.

I ask you to pray for my buddy as he comes to grips with her passing.

Tough to have to go through this stuff this time of year, especially.

Prayers for God's promised 'peace that passes all understanding' to be with Mike, his family and all who loved his Mom.

She stands with Christ now, whole and perfect.

May comfort follow for those left behind.

Mike,
I'm sorry to hear of this sad thing. I lost my mother back in 02 and I still have days when I have a hard time coping. She's resting now and at peace. Holler at me when you feel up to it. Lin

Everyone I want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers through this. She went really fast and peaceful for someone that had bone cancer. She is in a better place. Ray, I love you brother. Thank you all. Mike

Mike,

Reading your last post about it being bone cancer sure took me back. My mom lived with horrid pain all the time, ostensibly from arthritis!

Finally, they realized it was undiagnosed bone cancer...apparently from some unidagnosed cancer of a lower GI organ that matastisized into the bone in her lower spine.

She too went fast- 15 days after the diagnosis. She was paralyized after a mis-hap at the hosptial cause severe trauma..so she didn't feel much after that...

Never saw my mom so covered up in peace, love, joy and acceptance as she was those last days. She knew she was going "home to Jesus" and that was so much better than the last 20 yrs of pain with RA and such...she was READY.

Still helps me to cope... sorry. Just reading the bone cancer and your mom... sucked me back in time like a whirlwind.

Prayers continue for the peace that passes human understanding through this holiday season. Don't question that peace. Embrace it, Mike. It's God giving you release.

Keep the Son in your eyes.
