Prayers for a 9 year old (Stage 2)
« on: May 15, 2010, 07:25:00 PM »
Have a friend who's 9 year old son went in for appendix but the dr wasn't happy with what he found. They did some more tests and found a mass growing around his heart and part of his lung. They think it is is a lymphoma and will be doing a biopsy on Monday. Please pray for Adler and his family.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Prayer sent. Hope they caught it early.

Aww, Benson.  :(   Prayers that this trial will strengthen this family, the child and they will walk closer in Faith with the Great Physician.

Lord in your Mercy, hear our prayers for healing of young Adler.

Prayers sent. Maybe the appendix was Gods way to stear the doctor towards another problem to be taken care of.

They have the biopsy report back and Adler has a t cell lymphoma. They caught it before it spread to the bones where it would have turned to leukemia so that is a blessing. They are going to do tests on the spinal fluids today to see if it has spread to the brain so continue hard prayer for Adler and family. Right now Adler is looking at 2 years of chemo so you who have gone through that know what he and family are up against. Thank you for your prayers.

Man, that is so hard to read, but as James and Paul write, give thanks even in adversity.

So praises in that it has not settled into the bones and Prayers continue for no spinal/brain involvement.

Lord in your Mercy...hear our prayers.

My wife and I were at our grand daughter's 8th grade graduation last night. At each graduation Jeff who is the 8th grade teacher/sponsor and the father of Adler gets up and tells special stories about each of the graduates before he calls them up to receive their diplomas. For each one he encourages them to use their gifts for Jesus and tells them how proud he is of their growth. He broke down in tears as he expressed his joy for one who had been baptized this year. He left his wife, his older son, and Adler at the hospital to be there for these kids and loves each one.

Thanks for sharing that Benson.

I goes to prove that following Christ doesn't guarantee an easy or peril-free life.

...at least in this Realm, but then we ARE guaranteed another life that lasts forever.

Continued prayers for God's strength, mercy, love and grace to fortify these good people and bring Adler through this difficult situation victorious!

Just found out that the test to see if it had spread to the brain came back negative so that is good news. Also they started Adler on chemo and he felt good enough that they let him go home. Thank you all for your prayers!

That sounds like Hope in any language! Thanks for sharing, Benson.

Prayers continue for complete eradication all all bad cells and strength for Adler and his family through this tough haul.
