Hello folks,
Thought an update would be in order. Lamont has started chemo last Thursday, and will be receiving another treatment tomorrow. Fortunately he has been able to schedule them in the mornings, rest a bit after treatment - then go to the shop and catch up on business later in the day.
The side affects have been limited - good news so far! Matter of fact, if tomorrows treatment is much like last week (and he feels Ok) Lamont plans to go to the Sparta Wisconsin shoot this upcoming weekend.
A number of people and businesses have been in contact with Jason or myself, or have already sent items for the silent auction. The generosity of his friends within the archery community has been extraordinary! There have been many fine donations made. Those who attend this event will have a chance to bid on bows, arrows, broadheads, backpacks, quivers, spine scales, camo, wine baskets, etc… All good stuff!
While the “local bowhunting legend” isn’t saying too much, I think he’s kind of excited to see how this thing gets pulled off – as many of you already know, he does like to visit, so it should be a good day for everyone.
Lastly, the Judo shoot will be open to anybody shooting a bow. The cost is a free will donation, and you’re welcome to shoot until your fingers go numb… The burgers, brats, chips and such are free will donation too, so the event could be a pretty cheap date…;-)
Looking forward to seeing many of you on the 31st… Thanks, Steve
