Realities of life
« on: September 13, 2010, 12:32:00 PM »
My wife and I had planned on leaving for our annual moose hunt (our favorite time of the year together) this coming Thursday. There is no other hunt more important to me.

My stepfather (my Mother's husband) for 29 years passed away unexpectedly. He was the only Grandfather on my side that my children, nephews, and nieces ever knew.

His name was Regie and he was a good man and quite a special character.

My Mother (79 years old) is taking it very hard. She lives 400 miles from us, we are packing and leaving as soon as we can.

The moose hunt is postponed of course but because of other circumstances involving the hunt...it may be cancelled.

I know some of you have been in similar situations.
May your next adventure lighten your heart, test your spirit, and nourish your soul.

I am so very sorry for your loss and the grief being experienced by your mother and the rest of the family.

Life happens as we make our plans and family always comes before hunting. You won't regret putting family 1st.

My prayers are with you!

God bless you and your family, may His peace rest on all of you.

You know hunt camp is as good as it gets. Family is better & sure more important. Don't look back. Moose will still be there. God Bless you & family in your time of grief.

Ken,
The toughest part of this life we've been given is the loss we must endure. Your priorities are in order.  I hope, after you've paid your respects and helped console the grief-stricken, you have time to get after that Moose.
